The Perpetual Adoration Chapel brings hundreds of people everyday to Eucharistic adoration and God-experience. Charis Bhavan experiences the Perpetual Adoration Chapel as the Power center of all its activities.  It is being planned to make Charis Bhavan a centre to impart training programme for Spiritual Direction and Counselling. There is real, abundant spiritual power generated and shared by the commitment and ministries of our confreres in Charis Bhavan. The daring spirit and pioneering vision of Fr. On December 8th 1995 Fr. James founded a Society for Apostolic life for unmarried women by name "Charis Marian Maids" at Athirampuzha, Kottayam Kerala. Fr. James was  always encouraging the unmarried women to accept their state of life as a vocation to serve the Lord and the Church as singles. The Charis Marian Maids is under the jurisdiction of the Bishop of Vijayapuram, Kottayam, with a director from the congregation of the Missionaries of St. Francis de Sales of the South West Province. The inmates of Charis Marian Maids live a community life.Although they do not take the canonical vows, they practice the evangelical counsels  of Poverty, Chastity and Obedience by a simple promise before the Bishop after their formation. They are engaged in various forms of pastoral activities like visiting homes & the sick,teaching catechism, running institutions for the poor & the destitute, teaching in the schools, taking care of the youth, helping works of new evangelisation etc.


 
 
 

Charisjyothy:

  It is a monthly publication in "Malayalam" started by Fr.James Manjackal when he started the different activities at Charis Bhavan.It is a Magazine for those who are growing  in the Holy Spirit.In the very start itself, he entrusted its works to Rev. Fr. Devasia Kuzhupil who still is its chief Editor. This monthly periodical is read by many thousands who have come to the Catholic Charismatic Renewal.

School of Evangelization:

    Ever since Fr. James started  preaching retreats in Charis Bhavan, he founded " Charis Bhavan School of Evangelization" where  every year two batches of  about forty students get proficiency in preaching the Gospel, forming prayer groups, counselling, conducting healing services and thus to involve actively in works of Evangelization. Eloquent and learned professors take classes on various subjects pertaining to Evangelization. Those who complete the course receive a certificate at the Annual Convention from the local Bishop. Many who have passed out of  this School are actively involved in the ministry of evangelization in India and in abroad.


Books:

Fr. James has written several books in Malayalam and in English. Eureka, (on Holy Spirit) Enter the Arch, Prayer does Wonders, Healing to New Life, Behold He Knocks, He touched  and healed me (On Eucharist), Paradise restored (on Family Life) Liberation from the curses of the law ( on Family tree healing) are some of his well known books translated into several  European  languages like  French,German, Spanish,Portugese, Czek,Polish, Croatian, Slovenijan. His first book " 33 Charismatic prayers" is very popular among the simple and the  learned people and it is translated in to more than fifty languages. Fr.James has written many articles both in Malayalam and in English in periodicals and news papers. Often his speeches are seen and heard in various Television and radio channels.The wealth of  several years of his preaching ministry in more than 102 countries in all 5 continents is being served to tens and thousands of people all over the world through his speeches, retreats, conventions,books, articles.
