Fátima -Portugal. November 30th - Dec 2nd. 2012 From 30th November to 2nd December Fr. James and team conducted a Renewal retreat at "Centro de Estudos de Fatima" in Portugal for over 2000 people. As it was the beginning of Advent, the year of faith and the time of New Evangelization in Europe, the people were very enthusiastic to attend the retreat for the renewal of their Christian Catholic life. Fr. James gave beautiful talks on faith, Church, Sacraments. The deep &  inner healing prayers led every one to a real conversion and new life. On the last day all went home joyfully as they were filled with the Holy Spirit. Fr. James wishes everyone a Merry Christmas and a bright New year. It was the last retreat of Fr. James this year in Europe. Next year he will start his ministry in Europe by the beginning of February. It is the renewal team under the leadership of Arnaldo& Claudina. Here are some photos.

Bangalore. India - Funeral of fr. Mathew Thudianplakal MSFS . November 18th. 2012 On November 18th Fr.James took the flight to Kerala to take part in the funeral of Fr. Mathew Thudianplakal MSFS who loved him from the time he was in the novitiate in 1965. Fr. Mathew was born on 14th July 1929 and died on 17th November 2012. He died at Mermier Bhavan, Bangalore and his body was brought to S.F.S Seminary, Ettumanur for the burial. On 19th at 2.30 PM the Holy mass was concelebrated with his brothers as chief celebrants. His own 3 brothers are priests. Fr. James gave the homily. The funeral was officiated by the auxiliary Bishop of Palai, Rt. Rev. Dr. George Murickan

Wedding in Kottayam. Kerala - India. October 18th. 2012 Fr. James blessed the marriage of his niece Julie (daughter of Lucy&Jose, Bombay) with Binu in the Holy Family Church, Mudiyoorkara, Ghandi Nagar, Kottayam, Kerala on 18th October. Both of them are doing post graduation in Medicin. Fr. Abraham Vettuvelil gave a beautiful homily during the wedding mass. Here are some photos:

Szczecin - Poland. September 20 - 23. 2012 From  20th Sept to 23 rd Fr.James and the team conducted a renewal retreat at Szczecin in Poland on the Theme "Come to me , all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest" (Mt 11.28) Over a thousand people attended the retreat.It was organised by Fr.Krzysztof with a team of some young people. This place is very close to Germany, and the Christian practice is very low here. It is for the first time that such a convention was held there.Fr. James James gave very inspiring talks on the need of faith to receive the many blessings of the Lord. His testimony and that of Gaby led many people to real conversion and new life. Fr.James laid hands on each participants and prayed for the gift of the Holy Spirit. Many people came forward to give testimony of inner healing, new life and physical healing. Here are some photos:

Dzierzoniów - Poland. August 16 - 19. 2012 From  August 16th to 20th Fr. James conducted a retreat in a Sports hall at Dsierzoniow, Poland for more than 1400 people. It was well organized by the able hands of Fr. Kristopher, the leader of the Charismatic Renewal in the diocese. The local bishop Rt Rev. Dr. Ignacy Dec was so interested in the retreat of Fr. James, that he came early in the morning on 16th to the hotel where he and team stayed to have a breakfast with them and to welcome. It was indeed a great and wonderful gesture of love. Later, on Saturday afternoon he presided over the Holy Mass and spoke very greatly about Fr.James and about his works of evangelization. We found a very humble, caring and loving pastor in him. He said very clearly that the Catholics  have kept the grace that they have received in the Sacraments in "deep-freezers" of their hearts, hence through powerful preaching and prayer to the Holy Spirit, grace should be set on fire! The Bishop told Fr. James to come often to his diocese inflame the Spirit of the his people. Many priests were present in the retreat to hear confession and to attend the spiritual needs of the people. Gaby also gave a very inspiring testimony. There were many conversions, healing and experiences of new life. Some priests who did not believe in the experience of "resting in the Holy Spirit" had to believe because each one was falling even before Fr. James laid hands! All the priests fell flat at the laying on of hands! There were many young people in this retreat. All liked the retreat so much that they invited Fr. James for the coming year also. Zdunska Wola - Poland. Ausgust 2 - 4. 2012 From August 2nd to 4th Fr.James conducted a renewal retreat for about 500 people who gathered at Hala Szkoly Podstawowij at Zdunska Wola, Poland. Fr.Mathew also attended the retreat with him. He really appreciated all the talks given by Fr.James especially the one on " Jesus the Man who took all the problems of mankind". Gaby gave her inspiring testimony that revitalized the faith of many for healing and new life.It was for the first time that Fr.James conducted an evangelization program in that area of Poland where people are not awakened to such program. Fr.Darius, the Parish Priest and the Dean took every care to see the program a success.  He was watching the people with great joy and praises to God in his heart when he saw Fr.James praying over each participant.At the end he said in tears of joy," I am very happy that my people are changed and they are really filled with peace and joy". He presided over the mass on 4th as it was the feast of Mary John Vianney, the Patron of Parish Priests.On 4th evening Fr.James and Gaby left to Germany by car in order to go to Czek Republic for the forthcoming retreat.

Obory - Poland. 31st. 2012 On 31st of July Fr.James and Gaby went to the Sanctuary of Mary mother of Sorrows ( Sanctuarium Matki Bozej Bolesnej) at Obory, Poland to conduct a one day healing program. It is a  pilgrim center of the Carmelites.Last year Fr. James started to go there to have this " healing day". This year over 20 000 people gathered from all over Poland to participate in the program and to receive the healing love of Jesus. Fr.Mathew Kozhupakalam, the former provincial of Fr.James also was present and concelebrated the holy mass along with Fr.Piotre.He said that it is for the first time that he witnessed such a big crowd of believers in Europe. He too officially received the Scapular from the hands of Rev. Fr. Piotre, the spiritual animator of the pilgrim center. ople were very much touched by the inspiring and spirit filled talks of Fr.James. During the Holy Mass he spoke on the presence of the living Lord in the Holy Eucharist who is the healer of souls and bodies ;and after the Mass during the  Holy Adoration he prayed for healing. Fr. Piotre invited Fr.James to go there every year to lead the Healing Day.

Ostrolenka - Poland. July 26 - 29. 2012 Fr. James and team conducted a married couples retreat in the Sports hall "Hala Widowiskowo" at Ostrolenka, Poland from 26th July to 29th. It is for the third time that he preaches retreats at Ostrolenka.Although the retreat was organized for a 1000 married couples only about 850 couples came. It was indeed a great event for Poland because it means 850 families of Poland.! Dr. Richie, Jenine and children also had come along with Gaby to help Fr. James in the retreat. Dr. Richie gave a good and inspiring class on the problems of married couples which helped the couples to find out their problems and to prepare for inner healing. Jenine gave a  beautiful testimony of her experiences in her married life as a young wife and  a mother of six children. It was very interesting to listen to the testimonies of Anna, James, Maria and even of Emmanuel of 3 years of their faith experiences! Fr. James prayed over each family and Gaby gave them all the pictures of the Sacred Heart of Jesus to be framed and kept in their homes along with the prayers of Consecration of the family to the Sacred Heart .All those who came to the retreat returned to their homes as newly wedded couples! Many testified that they did not have this experience of Gods love and grace at their wedding.Some said that they started the "honey moon" after the renewal of their marital vows in the wedding Mass. Guarda - Portugal. July 20 - 22. 2012

Fr. James with Bishop and the Provincial

Fr. James conducted a renewal retreat at Guarda in the Auditorium of St Michaels School from 20th to 22nd July. The local Bishop Rt. Rev.Dr. Manuel received him in His Bishops house and personally appreciated and encouraged him for his works in Portugal especially in his diocese.It is for the second time that he preaches in the diocese of Guarda. His Provincial Fr. Abraham Vettuvelil MSFS also participated in the retreat for two days and gave a talk and a homily which were very inspiring. Over 1200 people filled the auditorium to hear the Word of God and to renew their Christian Catholic life. It was very hot and all in the auditorium were sweating! Still they were patient to hear Fr. James for long time. On the second day evening the Bishop presided over the Holy Mass and preached.

MISSIONARIES OF ST.FRANCIS DE SALES – MSFS SOUTH WEST INDIA PROVINCE  Circular AB/11                          August 17, 2012 By  Fr. Abraham Vettuvelil MSFS It was my first experience of a Charismatic retreat with Father Manjackal outside India, in Guarda, Portugal. It was a treat and an uplifting experience for me to see around 1300 people from Portugal and Spain gathered in an auditorium for three days of prayer, celebration of the sacraments, and healing service. The long line of people standing for the sacrament of reconciliation was truly an intervention of the Holy Spirit in the lives of so many people who were away from the Catholic Church for many years. Father Manjackal has a great team of volunteers who coordinate the program in such a way that he is free to do the preaching and celebration of the sacraments. The bishop of the diocese was present for the Eucharistic celebration and he wanted more Fransalians like Father James Manjackal to continue the new Evangelization. As I participated in the week end retreat in Guarda, I was delighted to see the energy of Father Manjackal who has retreats every week end and he travels miles and miles for every retreat. People in Portugal lovingly call him “Our Achan” and they experience the powerful presence of God in him and in his ministry. Thank you Father James for what you are doing for the People of God who are searching for a Saviour in the brokenness of their lives.  I thank you for the arrangements you made for my stay and travels.  I had a great opportunity to spend two evenings in Fatima, Portugal as organized by Father Manjackal. Each one of you was close to me in my prayers and I placed the entire Province with all our confreres and their ministries at the feet of our Blessed Mother.

Kurescek - Slovenia. July 13-15. 2012 From July 13th to 15th Fr. James Conducted a big convention at the Shrine of " Mariji Kraljici Miru" at Kurescek, Slovenjia. It is for the 9th nine that he is conducting a similar program there. It is he who started this biggest Catholic gathering  in Slovenjia in the year 2004. Obtaining the permission of the Arch Bishop, he goes to this mountain every year with a different theme. This year  the physical presence of Fr. Franz Spelic was missing! When Fr. James and Gaby made his first visit to Fr. Spelic  in 2003, looking at the beautiful ground, he said, " Fr. Spelic, it is a good place for a large convention where people may come to listen to the Gospel because Mary said- do what He tells". Immediately he responded saying, "I will get permission from the Arch Bishop and organize it".  Every year he used to be there for hearing confessions, to pray over the people and to concelebrate the Holy Mass. This year the theme of the convention was " Be my Disciples" ( Act 1:8) On the very first day it self the large tent was full and many had to sit outside to attend all the programs. In all three days over 25 000 people attended the convention.Fr.James gave deeper talk on the identity of Christian life emphasizing that Christians are Gods special Chosen children, Holy ones,Gods own people,Royal priests ( 1 Pt 2:9) He gave an inspiring talk on the need of keeping one's body clean, chaste and holy as it is the temple of God. The talks of the nine places where Christ  shed His Blood for mankind was very faith evoking and power finding. The long inner healing prayer on the last day that ended with the laying on hands on each other by themselves filled them all with the grace and power of the Holy Spirit. The presence of the Ex provincial of the Salesians Fr. Alois Slavko and the present Provincial Fr. Ivan in the holy masses and confessions were very edifying and boosting for the whole program. Fr. Joseph, the Parish priest, Fr. Koshier, the director of the Shrine, Mr. Stanko, Mrs Natassa worked hard with the volunteers to materialize this convention. There were many priests to attend to the confessions and spiritual needs of the people. God blessed all with a good sunny climate except for the last morning for a few hours with a shower of special blessings! Many people testified their experiences of conversion, new life, liberation from bad habits like smoking, alcohol and physical healing. Photos and Videos:

World Famous Charismatic in Belarus Added 09.07.2012 Fr. Jerzy Martinowicz/www.catholic.by The annual feast of Our Lady of Trokiele (the Grodno diocese) was solemnly celebrated at the Sanctuary in Trokiele. Thousands of the faithful from the Grodno diocese, from the whole country and abroad arrived to venerate Our Lady of Trokiele. JÓZEF WOLNY/GN Thousands of people participate in Fr. James Manjackal’s retreats in Poland  This year’s celebrations were accompanied by the slogan “In the Pilgrimage of Faith with the Blessed Virgin Mary”, as the whole Universal Church is preparing for the year of faith due to commence in October of this year. Many pilgrims came to hear the conference preached by the world famous charismatic Fr. James Manjackal. He has visited 87 countries in all the continents - preaching retreats, leading conventions and celebrating Holy Masses with prayers for healing. He has also founded and led evangelization schools and has conducted missions among the Muslims. His evangelization works are being supported by people from all over the world who render various forms of financial support for this purpose. The donated funds are used to print the Bibles, religious  brochures, prayer books, etc. Fr. James is the founder of an apostolic community dedicated to Jesus in Vijayapuram, Kottayam (Kerala state, India)  called “Charis Marian Maids”. Fr. James is the author of  books, poems and articles, many of which have been translated into European languages. His book “33 Charismatic Prayers” has been translated  to more than a dozen languages and is widely read by people all over the world. Among his other books are “Eureka” and “Enter the Ark”. In his talk, the famous charismatic Father Manjackal pointed to Christ who is “the only source of human power”. First and foremost,  Fr. Manjackal wanted God’s people to discover that spiritual power and thus experience miracles and blessings that Jesus Christ alone can give. Summing up his talk, which the faithful listened to with great attention, Fr. James emphasized that one should always strive for holiness. Later, during the adoration of the Most Blessed Sacrament, all those gathered consecrated their lives to Lord Jesus.  It is worth mentioning  that many people, in fact almost all those present,  made confession after having been encouraged to do so by the preacher. The celebrations ended with a solemn Holy Mass celebrated by Bp Bronislaw Biernacki from Ukraine. In his homily the Bishop reminded the faithful that all human beings received a great gift from God which was faith. He encouraged the people to live a life of faith in a conscious way, deepening their faith daily and thanking God for the faith that was passed on to them by generations of ancestors.  ”The Church of God will never be defeated because Christ is in the Church and the Mother of God is the Church defender” , Bp Biernacki said.

Nowogrodek - Belarus. Visit to the 12 Martyrs. July 7th. 2012 On Saturday 7th of July, Fr. Czeslav took Fr. James and Gaby to Nowogrodek, some 30 kilometers away from Lyda, where some 12 Polish sisters of the congregation of the Holy Family of Nazareth were martyred in the year 1943 by the German Nazis and now they are beatified. Their story of "life giving love" was very heart moving! The Nazis rounded about 120 people and kept them in a room to be shot. Knowing this some 11 sisters who were in the convent (the Mother Superior Sr. Maria Malgorzata was out for some need) went to the chapel and offered their lives to Jesus and prayed thus, "Lord, take our lives instead of these 120 people who have families". The Nazis saw them praying in the chapel and took them out to a forest, some 5 kilometers away and shot them and buried them there. Returning they released the 120 people. Their prayers and offering were really accepted by Jesus! Then the mother superior returned from the town and the Nazis locked her up in the sacristy of the chapel and was persecuted and killed her. This story was told by one of the Captains of the Nazis who got converted later and asked pardon to the sisters. Later the sacred remains of the sisters were transferred to the chapel. Fr.James along with Gaby and Fr. Czeslav prayed there for a long time and celebrated Mass with the sisters and prayed over them. This is what is written above the present tomb where the sacred remains of the Sisters  rest, "The way we came to know love was that He laid down his life for us; so we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers"( 1Jn 3:16)

Dietikon - Switzerland. June 22-24. 2012 From June 22nd to 24th, Fr. James preached a retreat in Switzerland, in the Stadthalle of Dietikon. There were more than 600 participants. As many of them had been to his retreats already, he preached in such a way that all those who attended for the first time, could experience initiation into the renewal and others could find enough topics in order to grow in the Holy Spirit. The powerful testimony and preaching of Dr. Richi helped many for conversion. He was also the translator. There were participants from Austria, Germany, France, Italy, Portugal and Croatia etc. In all German speaking retreats of Fr. James, Croatians come in large numbers as he had preached several retreats in all major Croatian cities in the past. Many testimonies of conversion and healing were reported and a few people gave testimony on the stage as the time was short. Mr. Dominic Schöpf and his wife Stephanie with their family organised the retreat with the help of other volunteers. Several priests had come to hear confessions and to pray with the people. As Fr. James' wound on the foot had not fully healed, he had to sit on a chair to pray over the people. The Chair looked like a "Pope Mobile" and served as support for him to pray over the people who were standing. Here are some photos:

Freilassing - Germany. Baptism of Gaby. June 11th 2012 On 11th itself Fr.James rushed to Piding to Baptise, Gaby, the 6th child of Richie and Jenine born on the previous day, on Corpus Christi. She was baptised at St. Rupert, Freilassing, Germany.
