Fr. James, the founder director of Charis Bhavan attended its Silver Jubilee. Athirampuzha, Kerala, South India. December 10 - 16 On 10th December Fr. James left Germany for India with Mrs.Gaby, his faithful companion  & the Hubner family from Austria that was with him from the beginning of his illness, to attend the silver jubilee celebrations of Charis Bhavan, a well renowned retreat center at Athirampuzha, Kerala, South India where thousands of people from all over India come for spiritual renewal. As the Holy Spirit gave a vision to Fr. James for building a House for evangelization, he took the venture to do it with the help of his friends & benefactors and it was inaugurated on 25th November 1989.After being its director for five years, he left to Europe for World Evangelization as his superiors asked him. The retreat center continued growing under the care of the priests of the Missionaries of St. Francis de Sales to which Fr. James belongs. The present team headed by Fr. Jose Parapilly as superior decided to celebrate its silver jubilee on 13th December in order to give thanks to God for all the great things that He had done in Charis Bhavan.

When Fr. James and the team arrived at Cochin on 11th morning a good number of people from his relatives & friends were at the airport to receive him and the team. Then they were taken directly to Charis Bhavan where hundreds of people were waiting for hours to have a glance of Fr. James who went to India for the first time after his long illness. Some of them were shedding tears of joy and others of pity seeing him on a wheel chair. From then till he left the house thousands were in queue to see him and to get a touch from him. Sitting the whole time on his wheel chair, he was meeting every one with smile and kind words.Practically he had no rest.Many were sharing  testimonies of healing, spiritual & material blessings that they had received through him while he was the director for five years.

On 13th he conducted a healing program with a powerful preaching and inspiring adoration of the Blessed sacrament. People testified that it was the best program that they ever had from him! They said that he returned to ministry by a double anointing of the Holy Spirit. At. 2.30 he concelebrated the Thanksgiving Mass with the local Bishop and hundreds of priests from his congregation and neighboring parishes. Very Rev. Fr. Abraham Vettuvelil, the Superior General of the congregation gave an inspiring homily. After the mass there was a public meeting where many prominent people highlighted the services that Charis Bhavan rendered to everyone irrespective of casts and creed. About five thousand people attended the silver jubilee celebrations from morning till evening. On 14th Fr.James was taken to his home parish, (where he received all Sacraments from baptism to priestly ordination), to celebrate  a requiem mass for his beloved father who left to heaven 60 years ago on this day.On the way back he visited the Chris-teen center at Kottayam and had dinner with them. On 15th morning he met the sisters of Charis Marian Maids, a congregation that he founded in 1995.In the evening he left to the airport with his team to get the flight early morning on 16th at 4 AM. Wettingen - Switzerland. September 28 - 29. 2014 On 27th and 28th of September Fr. James conducted a retreat in Sport & Kongresszentrum, Tägi, Wettingen, Switzerland for a crowd about 300. Bishop Rt. Rev. Dr Felix of the diocese of Wettingen had invited him for this retreat. It was organized  by a couple, David & Anita Kennedy with the cooperation of a few volunteers. Fr. James spoke powerfully on the need of conversion to new life. There were enough priests to hear confessions.On both days Fr. James conducted physical healing prayers and many healing were reported. The grace filled inner healing prayer and the infilling prayers on the second day touched the hearts of many to renew their Catholic Christian life. Fr. James himself laid hands on each of the participants and prayed over them. It is for the first time after his long illness that he himself prayed over the people by laying hands. He is becoming stronger and stronger at every retreat. Dr. Richy translated all his talks and prayers in to German. His wife Jenine conducted the music although she had to take care of her six small children. Gaby, Richy and the family of Hubner were ready to give any help to Fr. James and to sell his books and religious articles. Fr. James was very particular to conduct a retreat in Switzerland this year itself as he had preached over 43 retreats there in the past. This retreat was announced very late, hence many could not come, hence the organizers decided to invite his again to preach to a bigger crowd.Here are some photos and videos:

Fr. James with 11 people who made commitments to holiness through  Charis Marian Covenant Community

In Centrum Targowo Kongresowe at Warsaw, Poland Fr. James conducted a retreat for growing in Spirit  from 8th to 11th November for more than 8000 people. The theme of the retreat was "Put out into Deep"( Lk 5:4) The stage was decorated with a large ship with a net and a cross that was very meaningful for  the occasion. Fr. James gave very enlightening and deep talks on subjects like growing in faith, on -going repentance, growth in  Christ-likeness through the fruits of the Holy Spirit, growth in the power of the Spirit through the sevenfold gifts, the need of doing what Jesus did by the right use of Charisms, healing & liberation through the Blood of Christ that was shed in 10 places. Dr. Richard Febres Landauro( Richie) gave two deep talks on the necessity of inner healing in order to live a new life in Christ. All  the prayers conducted by Fr. James  were very deep and long helping the participants to receive liberation, healing,and infilling of the Holy Spirit.All the talks and prayers were translated by Mrs.Ania Lason-Zygadlewicz.

It was organized by the parish team of Fr. Witold Gajida led by Ania & Bartek Wesolowscy, that consisted of more than 300 hundred volunteers. Every day over a 50 priests were hearing confessions and concelebrating the Holy Mass. On the 3rd day evening Fr. James prayed over more than sixty priests who went down to the crowd to pray over the people for the out pouring of the Holy Spirit. Fr. James prayed over hundreds of nuns and children at that time. Everyday during the lunch- break, Fr. James prayed over the sick people.On 11th morning the Auxiliary Bishop of the diocese of Warszawsko-Praska Rt. Rev. Bishop Marek spoke to the assembly and gave the apostolic blessing. When Fr. James announced the time of giving testimonies  of those who received physical headings only, a long queue of more than 600 people was formed. Most of them had their healing in his previous retreats especially the one that he conducted in the same hall in last May. Healing from Multiple sclerosis , various kinds of cancers, healing of diseases of lungs, heart, kidney, stomach were witnessed. Married couples who received the gift of children in the retreat also were testified. Except on the last day, Fr. James was the main celebrant to say mass in Polish.During the mass on the last day presided by Fr. Witold, the chief organizer, Fr. James accepted the commitments of eleven people for consecrated life in Charis Marian Covenant Community. Sr. P.V. Marykutty, the director of Chris-teen, Kerala gave a short talk on their ministry of evangelization among the children & the youth.

Graz - Austria. September 5th to 7th 2014

From 5th to 7th september Fr. James preached a retreat in Brauhaus Puntigam, Graz, Austria to more than 800 people German speaking people. It was his 5th retreat on his wheel chair after his illness. Besides from Austria, there were people from Germany, Switzerland, Hungary, Croatia, Poland and Czech republic etc. As the majority of the participants were already in one of his retreats in the past, Fr. James gave talks for helping the people to grow in the Holy Spirit basing on the theme " Behold I make everything new. His talks were deep and highly pastoral enabling people to find a growth in their spiritual life. All the talks and prayers were translated from English to German by Dr. Richard Fabres. Dr. Richy introduced the German version of the latest book of Fr. James ' I saw Eternity' and gave the first copy to Frau Traude.

The retreat was organized by St. Thomas Charismatic prayer group that started after the first retreat of Fr. James in Graz in 2000. Fr. Florian Parth and Frau Traude were the main organizers of this retreat. There were many priests to hear confessions and to look in to the spiritual needs of the people. Fr. James led the participants to deep inner healing and change of lives through long inner healing prayers using his charism of healing. Many miraculous healings were reported. On the last day of the retreat Fr. James prayed over the priests and deacons during the Holy Adoration and send them to the crowd to lay hands over the people and to pray for the infilling of the Holy Spirit. After their prayers many were on the floor with the experience of ' resting in the Spirit'. At the end of this prayer service all the priests laid their hands on Fr. James and prayed while the people were lifting up their hands towards him in prayer.

Dr. Richy conducted a very powerful prayer for his healing and health. Fr. James testified that during this powerful prayer he saw heaven opened and the angels coming down & a bright ray of light coming down on him and the people. Fr. James was shedding tears during this prayer. Usually he never cries; even in his intense suffering with pain he never shed tears! After the retreat when he went back home, he was able to walk by himself a few steps in the presence of the therapist. He believes that it was the result of this powerful prayers. After every retreat Fr. James is becoming better in his health, praise the Lord. Fr. James prayed over all the sick people, the children and the volunteers from his wheel chair. Saint Maur Des Fossés - Paris. France. 22th to 24th August 2014

From 22nd to 24th of August Fr. James preached a retreat in Salle Pate at Saint Maur Des Fossés, France in the diocese of Creteil with the invitation of Bishop Santier. It was his first retreat from wheel chair in France after his recent illness. It was organized by Maryvonne Lavalloir with the association Catholique Fontaine d'Eau Vive It was attended by more than 1200 people. Fr. James gave solid teachings on New Life in Christ basing on the theme of the retreat " Behold I make everything new" ( Rev. 21:5) and conducted powerful inner healing prayers. Although he had pain on his tongue due to a recent operation, no one could notice that he had any pain or ailments. He appeared very strong and powerful on the stage with his speeches, songs, prayers and holy Mass. On the last day he conducted a powerful intercessory prayer for the whole world but specially for France. He encouraged the crowd to pray for the global church & the local church, for the persecuted Christians in Communist and Isalmic countries like Iraq, Syria, Pakistan and China. Also he made powerful prayers to liberate the whole Europe from  the fall of Christian, human and moral values of life. Many people testified both spiritual and physical healing.

On the second day Fr. Aulard Oly, the episcopal Vicar, principled the concelebrated mass as a representative of the bishop as the bishop was out for giving a retreat in the north of France. He gave a very good homily and highlighted the missionary apostolate of Fr. James in France. On the last day morning Gaby Landauro witnessed her consecration to the Lord and gave a talk on consecrated life encouraging  people to give their lives for holiness. During the Holy Mass Elizabeth Rosset-Maisant, Gisele-Marie Bomal and Huberte Luap dressed in white came to the Altar and  made their commitment for consecrated life  in Charis Marian Covenant Community( CMCC)and received rings from Fr. James.

Gaby, Dr. Richard Febres and Johannes Hubner and Daria from poland were always beside Fr. James to do any service. Dr. Richard introduced the recent book of Fr. James  " I saw Eternity", that was translated by Maryvonne and gave the first copy to Fr. Paul Bonnefoy. As usual in every retreat of Fr. James In France, Fr. Fátima - Portugal. June 27 -29. 2014

From June 27th to 29th Fr.James preached a retreat in " Centro de Estudos de Fatima" at Fatima, Portugal. It was organized by Arnaldo & Claudina with their prayer group and volunteers. Over 2000 people gathered for the retreat. It began in the afternoon at 3 on Friday 27th and ended in the evening on 29th. Fr.James preached with power and enthusiasm like any other retreat. It was difficult to say Fr.James is any more sick although he is unable to get and walk. He arrived Fatima on 27th after noon along with Gaby, Daria and the family of Hubner. Mr. Johannes Hubner took care of his personal needs during the retreat. Many said that this retreat was more powerful than any other retreats that Fr.J ames preached in Portugal. Perhaps it was because of the merits of his long sufferings! Many headings were reported and several of them came forward to give testimony.Fr. Jose Parapilly MSFS, one of Fr. James's intimate friend in the congregation who came from Kerala to visit him and Fr. Thomas MSFS who studies for his doctorate in the University of Burgos, Spain were the distinguished guests in the retreat. On the first day  Mr. Tiago Régio introduced the new book of Fr.James ' I Saw Eternity' and the first copy  was given to a couple- Carlos& Julia. Gaby Landauro gave a beautiful talk on consecration on the last day and invited people to join Charis Marian Covenant Community. On the last day all the priests went down to the people and prayed over them for the infilling of the Holy Spirit. All the talks and prayers of Fr. Pentecost Convention in Czech Republic

Fr. James gave his second retreat after his illness  in Czech Republic from 6th to 8th June in the  Brno Exhibition Center. The people prayed together and listened to God's Word to celebrate Pentecost 2014.It was organized by Radek & Zuzana Lapcik with the help of many volunteers.The theme of this convention was " Behold I make everything new" ( Rev 21:5) As in Poland he preached with much power and in grace. No one could believe that he is sick anymore! He alone preached, conducted the prayers of healing and officiated the Holy Mass. He laid hands over the sick & the children and prayed. His hands seems to be stronger.Anyhow he did not dare to pray over each participant as he used to do in the past! Let us pray that it will happen soon. Zuzana Lapcik and Hanna Francakova translated all his talks and prayers. His recent book on his spiritual experiences of Hell, Heaven and purgatory called " I saw Eternity" was published in Czech. Radek Lapcik gave a good introduction about the book and officially released it. On the last day Gaby Landauro gave a talk on consecration and invited people to consecrate their lives to Jesus for holiness. On Sunday, on the feast of Pentecost, Maria Immaculada de la Cruz (Daughter of Richi & Jenine) received her first holy communion from the hands of her spiritual father James Manjackal.

On the last day many people came to the stage to give their testimonies of healing, liberation, and experience of new life. Three or four couples came and testified that they got children in their married life after attending the retreat of Fr. James some time ago. There were testimonies of healing from Multiple Schlerosis, Cancer, Tumor, Bariliosis, etc. Several people testified that they stopped the habit of smoking,drugs, and alcohol after attending the retreat of Fr.James. On Sunday being born again in the Holy Spirit and filled with His Power and grace, the participants went to their homes with the decision to follow Christ in a radical way and strict way. Warsaw, Poland from 8th to 11th May 2014

Fr. James after his long illness & sufferings of one year and a half conducted his first  retreat  for the Polish for 4 days in the  "Centrum Targowo Kongresowe" Warsaw, Poland. It was attended by more than 7000 people every day. Half the participants were already in one of his retreats in the past and others were new. The theme of the retreat was "Behold I make everything new" Rev 21:5. Fr. James preached sitting on his wheelchair from morning till evening giving talks, conducting healing prayers, officiating the Holy Mass, praying over the sick, the children, and the volunteers of the program. Many came as families -there were many children and youth. On the second day of the retreat the Auxiliary Bishop of diocese Warszawsko-Praska Bp. Marek Solarczyk presided the concelebrated Mass and preached the Homily. It was great to see that Fr. James preaching, singing and praying with more power and grace than before. Every one said that he is greatly transformed after his long suffering which he endured cheerfully with the power of the Holy Spirit. When he called people to testify physical headings, hundreds of people stood in 'Q' and there was time only for a few to give testimonies.There were amazing  testimonies of healing from M.S, Cancers, ulcers, skin diseases, paralysis,etc. Some who came with crutches or supports left them and walked home normally. Families gave testimonies of children born to them after attending his retreat. Many testimonies of conversion, liberation from the bad habits alcoholism, drugs,smoke were reported. On two days Fr. James presided the concelebration and officiated mass in Polish to the astonishment of many. Over 50 priests were in the confessionals from morning till evening on all days. On the last day the priests and the children came to the stage and prayed over Fr. James for his healing and recovery. As his health is weak he could not lay hands on all participants to pray for the gift of the Spirit like in the past, hence he prayed over the priests and send them amidst the crowd to pray over them.

The retreat was organized by Bartek & Ania with the help of more than 100 volunteers.The organization was very good. One each families from Czek Republic, Austria and Germany had accompanied Fr. James to support his ministry. Mr. Javier López was there from Spain, Suzanna came with her daughter from Zagreb, Croatia to pray with him and to support. As Fr. James is still unable to get up and walk, some one had to lift him up to put him on the wheel chair from bed; in the airlines he was served well for transferring him from one plane to another. Dr. Richi and Johannes Hubner were always ready to help him. Because of his recent fall while trying to stand, his left leg was swollen and he had much pain. On the 3rd day Gaby Landauro gave a talk on consecration  and invited people to consecrate their lives to Jesus. The recent book of Fr. James "I Saw Eternity" (his experiences of God through his sufferings) was published in Polish and distributed. Here are some photos and videos:
